The House of Delegates election on Nov. 2 will give voters in the 12th District the opportunity to send to Richmond a man of experience, commitment and dedication: Jim Shuler.
Jim has the background to address the three important issues of the next biennium: education (degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of Georgia), health care (eight years on the State Board of Health) and economic development (over 20 years as a small businessman, six years on the Blacksburg Town Council and impressive involvement as both member and leader in professional, civic and church organizations).
At this critical time for our commonwealth, we need the candidate who has demonstrated the commitment and the vision to succeed Joan Munford and carry on her leadership. We need the candidate who has dedicated himself to the betterment of the New River Valley for more than two decades.
We have known Jim as neighbor, friend, family man, veterinarian, holder of public office and civic leader. We have watched and felt his intelligence, calmness, integrity and compassion in all of these roles. We urge you to join us at the polls on Nov. 2 and vote for Jim Shuler for House of Delegates.

Nick Rush will be effective
I would like to let voters of the 12th District know that Nick Rush supports education and will be an advocate for education in Richmond. Nick believes in quality education and knows what our school system needs. The time Nick has been on the Board of Supervisors, he has worked to get the school system what it needs.
Nick Rush will be the effective leader we need in Richmond. He will work for jobs, paving our rural roads, money for higher education. Nick has been a leader and showed true leadership during his time on the board.
