STINNETTE-WELLONS

Shannon Marie Wellons and Michael Lewis Stinnette were united in marriage on Saturday, October 23, 1993, at 3 o'clock in Bethel Baptist Church, Salem, Va. The Rev. R. Stuart Carlton officiated. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The reception was held at the Marriott Hotel in Roanoke.

The maid of honor was Cindy Wellons, sister of the bride, of Elliston. The bridesmaid was Michelle Stinnette, sister of the groom, of Lynchburg.

The best man was Lewis Stinnette, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Larry Pillow, of Lynchburg, and Tim Underwood, of Salem, both friends of the groom.

The flowergirl was Miss Morgan West, friend of the bride and groom, of Roanoke. The ringbearer was Jeremy Jones, cousin of the groom, of Lynchburg. The guestbook was attended by Kristi Underwood, of Salem. The director of the ceremony was Karen McPeak, cousin of the bride, of Salem. The flowers were arranged by Montez Reynolds, of Lynchburg.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood A. Wellons, of Elliston. She is a graduate of Shawsville High School and Radford University. She is employed by Allstate Insurance Co.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. Stinnette, of Lynchburg. He is a graduate of Brookville High School and attended Central Virginia Community College. He is employed by Kroger Co.

After their honeymoon in Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Salem, Va.
