ARMED ROBBER HOLDS UP SALEM PIZZA SHOP

An armed robber took more than $600 in cash and checks from Little Caesars Pizza on West Main Street in Salem about 11 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The robber brandished a handgun, took the money from an employee and fled, Sgt. David Leah of the Salem Police Department said.

The robbery was the second of a Little Caesars Pizza this month. The Williamson Road store was robbed Oct. 9.
