OBIT VAUGHN, WALTER WILLIAM

VAUGHN, Walter William 68, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, October 24, 1993, at his home. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was born February 26, 1925, to the late Columbus Edgar Vaughn and Arminda Sutphin Vaughn. He is survived by his wife, Clara Ann Akers Vaughn of Christiansburg; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael W. and Tina Vaughn, Christiansburg, Guy Terry and Chriss Vaughn of Martinsville, Danny Lee and Sherry Vaughn, Radford, David Leon and Sharon Vaughn,Christiansburg; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Virginia Creger, Christiansburg, Mae and Henry Dobbins, Christiansburg, Arentha and Bill Bowyer, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Justin Marshall Vaughn, Zachary Tyler Vaughn, Kimberly Bilger, Theresa Mawyer, Michelle Fulcher; six great-grandchildren, Ariel, Stevie, Erika, Ashley, Allen and Victoria. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. from the DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Vaughn Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
