OBIT-LONG, MARGUERITE MAE

LONG, Marguerite Mae, 84, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 1993. She was a native of High Springs, Florida. She was a member and for many years pianist and choir director of High Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her only sister, Doris Westmoreland. Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Walter Edward Long of Roanoke; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Daniel Esau of Roanoke; grandchildren Cynthia Esau of Roanoke, Brian Esau of Urbana, Illinois, and Valerie Gibson of Richmond. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 1993 at noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Morris Beck of High Springs Florida, a former missionary to Taiwan, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends between 7-9 p.m. on Friday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
