Smithson,formerly of Roanoke, currently of Greensboro, North Carolina, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Malone of Virginia Beach, Virginia, to Lieutenant Stewart Michael Chang, also of Virginia Beach. Stewart is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Wallace Chang of Dix Hills, New York. An April wedding is planned at the United States Naval Academy Chapel, Annapolis,Maryland.
