JOHNSON-THOMAS

Genevieve Cecelia Thomas and Keith Adrian Johnson were united in marriage on September 11, 1993, in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Pastor John Hartwig and Father James Parke were the officiating clergyman. The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

Shari B. Thomas, sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Cathy J. Murray, sister of the groom, and Erica R. Thomas, niece of the bride. Honorary bridesmaids were Wanda K. Thompson, Valeria L. Cook and Judy S. McAmis, friends of the bride. The junior bridesmaids were Margaret Johnson and Ruth Johnson, nieces of the groom. Taylor Murray, niece of the groom, served as the flowergirl. The guest book was attended by Rhonda Johnson, sister-in-law of the groom. Elizabeth Johnson, sister-in-law of the groom, served as hostess.

Earl R. Johnson, Jr., father of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Vic Thomas, Jr., and Tom Thomas, brothers of the bride, Chris Johnson and Stephen Johnson, brothers of the groom, and Alan Huffman, friend of the bride and groom. Christopher Murray, nephew of the groom served as the ringbearer.

The bride is the daughter of Delegate and Mrs. A. Victor Thomas, Sr., of Roanoke, Va. She is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, National Business College and Milligan College. She is employed by BCBS of Virginia.

The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Earl R. Johnson, Jr., of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and is attending Roanoke College.

The newlyweds are residing in Roanoke after enjoying a honeymoon at Jekyll Island.
