PH GIRLS LOSE REGION TENNIS MATCHES

At Woodbridge, individual competitors from Patrick Henry were eliminated at the Northwestern Region girls' high school tennis competition.

In the singles semifinals, Amy Speas lost 6-0, 6-3 to eventual champion April Rogers of Woodbridge. Rogers defeated Elizabeth Gay of E.C. Glass 6-0, 6-2 in the final.

In doubles, the PH team of Amanda Bounds and Sarah Miller fell to Woodbridge's Rogers and Heather Danforth 6-2, 6-3.

Team competition starts today at noon.
