OBIT CHITTUM, CATHERINE LOUISEI

CHITTUM, Catherine Louise, 75, of Lexington, died Sunday, October 31, 1993, at Lewis-Gale Hospital, Salem, Va. She was born in Rockbridge County on October 28, 1918, the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Katherine Jarvis Harlow. She was a sales clerk at Swinks, Lexington and a member of the Timber Ridge AR Presbyterian Church where she was Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Church Day Circle. She is survived by her husband, Rayburn Odell Chittum, Lexington; two daughters, Barbara C. Poff, Roanoke and Marjorie C. Huie, Fredericksburg; two brothers, William M. Harlow, Fairfield and Charles N. Harlow, Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 1993, at the Timber Ridge AR Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Gordon and the Rev. Philip Hunsicker officiating. Interment will follow in Timber Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lomax Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
