APPALACHIAN FOLK ARTS FESTIVAL AT RU

The annual Appalachian Folk Arts Festival will take place Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at Radford University's Heth Ballroom, sponsored by the Appalachian Events Committee.

Throughout the day, traditional Appalachian artists and artisans will demonstrate their crafts, including basket weaving, quilting and weaving.

Entertainers include Appalkids, Toni Barn, Jon Benfield, Les Dotson, the McKenzies and Crossties.

An auction to benefit the Robert Glen Toney Scholarship Fund will be held at 10 a.m.
