Mike Bandy, who voted in Fincastle, said he believed elected school boards would produce "more turnover. It won't be as clique-ish, so to speak."
Keith Brown, 19, another Fincastle voter, said citizens will be more aware of who's on the School Board when it's elected. As it is now, Brown said, there's usually just a tiny notice in the paper when a board member is appointed, so "nobody really knows and they don't pay much attention to it."
