OBIT LADD, WILLIAM BOWMAN
OBIT LADD, William Bowman, 78, of Roanoke, died Monday, November 1, 1993,
in a local hospital. A resident of Roanoke for the past fourteen years, he was
formerly employed by Darling & Co. in Cincinnati, Ohio. A veteran of World War
II, he served four years in Anti-Aircraft Artillery in the E.T.O. Surviving
are his wife, Elizabeth Franklin Ladd; daughters, Katherine E. Ladd of
Haveford, Pa., Karen Ladd Cawthorne, Chicago, Ill. and Victoria Ladd Lane,
Roanoke; four grandchildren; a sister, Cora L. Hartman, College Park, Md.; a
brother, Rolla D. Ladd, Troy, Ohio. Funeral services will be at St. Johns
Episcopal Church, 2 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 1993, with the Rev. Thomas P.
O'Dell officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. Memorials are
suggested to be sent to any ADRDA office. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke
Chapel.
