OBIT HARMON, LORENA SLUSHER
HARMON, Lorena Slusher, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, November 1,
1993, at the Radford Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Richard E. Harmon and grandson, Richard C. Benton. Lorena is survived
by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Curtis Janney, Jeanette H. and
Lowell Wade, all of Christiansburg; her daughter, Patti St. John, Floyd; her
much-beloved son and daughter-in-law, James and Jackie Harmon; grandson,
Brandon Harmon, all of Roanoke; grandson and wife, Joe and Cheryle Parker;
great-grandchildren, Dawn, Nicole and J. P. Parker, all of Christiansburg;
grandaughter, Laura Benton, Surfside Beach, S.C.; sister and brother-in-law,
Beulah and James Sowers, Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond
and Arlene Slusher, Bedford, Ind., as well as many special friends and members
of the Main Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11 a.m.,
at Main Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Peter L. du Plessis officiating.
Interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Floyd. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, Floyd.
