OBIT HARLESS, MARY ELIZABETH

HARLESS, Mary Elizabeth, 81, of Blacksburg, died Tuesday, November 2, 1993, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Harless was born in West Virginia on March 6, 1912, to the late Thomas Hylton and Samantha Sowers Ferris. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Aubrey Harless. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Bill Huff, Blacksburg; one sister, Emma Mae Shefflett, McGaheysville, Va.; two grandchildren, Melinda Huff and Jay Huff, both of Blacksburg; very special friends, Mike and Rachel Robinson and Andy and Kimmie Robinson, all of Blacksburg; numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 1993, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
