OBIT SANDERS, JULIA MALONEY

SANDERS, Julia Maloney, 97, of Blacksburg, died Monday, November 1, 1993. Mrs. Sanders was born in Fairfax on January 9, 1896, a daughter of the late John T. and Anna W. Ayers Maloney. She was the widow of Harry W. Sanders. Surviving are one nephew, retired Brig. Gen. Roswell E. Round, Sarasota, Fla.; several great-nieces and nephews and Dr. Walter D. Barnes, Macon, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, November 4, at Blacksburg United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harry W. Sanders Scholarship Fund, c/o the Virginia Tech Foundation or the Blacksburg United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
