OBIT-DISHNER, L. MARIE GREENE

DISHNER, L. Marie Greene, 75, of Mullens, W.Va., died Tuesday, November 2, 1993, in Roanoke. Born April 14, 1918, at Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edley and Emily Pearl Rinehart Whitt. She attended public school in Wyoming County and was a retired bookkeeper for the Wyoming General Hospital in Mullens for more than 20 years. She was an active member of the Bud-Alpoca Baptist Church and had served as the Sunday School Teacher for the youth for many years and had belonged to the church choir. She was a life long resident of Mullens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis S. Greene in November of 1973. Survivors include, one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Donna) Lilly, Roanoke; two sons, James W. Greene and his wife, Joette, Leesburg, Sheridan L. Greene and his wife, Brigette, Mullens; one sister, Mrs. Opal Renee Greene, Mullens; three brothers, Okey L. Whitt, Clarence R. (Bob) Whitt and his wife, Beulah, all of Mullens, Byron J. Whitt and his wife, Clara, Roanoke; six grandchildren, Janet Wanner, Lee Lilly, Chuck Greene, Buck Greene, Lee Greene and Nikki Greene; ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held noon Friday, from the Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel in Mullens, with Rev. Charles Wanner and Rev. John Rinehart officiating. Burial will follow in the Palms Memorial Gardens at Matheny. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Tankersley Funeral Home in Mullens. Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton is handling all arrangements.
