The Highlanders (16-4 overall, 11-1 in the district) blew open the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Rams 22-4 en route to the easy victory.
Marilea Hale scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Amanda Kennedy chipped in 12 points for Glenvar.
Glenvar held all Highland County scorers in single digits. The Rams are 4-16 and 2-10.

Seniors Shannon Yopp, Sarah Hicks and Michele Orlando shined on Senior Night as the Vikings toppled the visiting Spartans for the first time in three years to lock up a third-place finish in the Blue Ridge District.
Yopp scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds; Hicks had 15 points and snared nine rebounds; and Orlando chipped in eight points and sank several key free throws in the fourth quarter.
Northside took an early lead, but Salem (10-10, 4-6) rallied when Shellie Johnson scored eight of her 17 points in the second quarter. The Vikings (9-11, 5-5) hit 10 of 15 free throws in the last period to seal the win.

DALEVILLE - The Cavaliers used balanced scoring to defeat the Terriers in a Blue Ridge District game.
Jenny Gates scored 17 points to lead Lord Botetourt (19-1, 10-0). Summer Plunkett and Ashley Moore had 11 points each and Sarah Moore added 10.
Both teams benefited from strong free-throw shooting. The Cavaliers sank 15 of 21 free throws, and William Byrd made 20 of 26.
Cathy Smith led the Terriers (14-6, 7-3) with 17 points and seven rebounds. Jaclyn Banks had 14 points and six rebounds.
James River 47\ Covington 38
BUCHANAN - The Knights struggled with their shooting but managed to do enough to get a Pioneer District victory over the Cougars.
James River (12-8, 10-2) shot 20-of-58 on field-goal attempts, and they needed a strong third quarter to put away Covington (7-11, 7-5).
Camille Arbogast led the Knights with 10 points, and Kara Mundy and Angie Johnson added nine each.

NEW CASTLE - The Rockets' press helped them to a huge fourth quarter and a Pioneer District victory over the Chargers (3-15, 1-11).
Craig County (6-12, 5-7) trailed 37-31 after three quarters but used a stifling press to cause seven Bath County turnovers in the final period.
Chrissy Robertson led the Rockets with 15 points, and Bonnie Boardwine added 11 - five in the final period.
