DUDLEY AWARD WILL BE PRESENTED DEC. 2

The Downtown Club of Richmond will present the fourth annual Dudley Award, symbolizing the top college football player in Virginia, at a Dec. 2 dinner.

Each school is allowed to nominate one player, and the winner is chosen by a panel of sports writers and broadcasters from across the state.

Quarterbacks have won the first three awards - Shawn Moore and Matt Blundin of Virginia and Cary Perkins of Emory & Henry.

The award is named after William "Bullet Bill" Dudley, the only Virginian who is a member of both the college and professional football halls of fame.
