RECORD YEAR FOR NRCC GRANTS

It was a record year in obtaining grants for New River Community College, with almost $4 million being awarded from federal, state and other sources. This is a 13-percent increase over last year's total.

Major grants received by New River include $193,000 from the Tile III Strengthening Institutions Program, a $53,000 award from the National Endowment for the Humanities and $212,000 for a special support program for disadvantaged students.
