OBIT-BURFORD, MEREDITH, ("CARLYLE")

BURFORD, Meredith, ("Carlyle"), 62, of Blacksburg, died Thursday, November 4, 1993 at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was an employee at the Donaldson Brown Center at VA Tech and was the former owner of Carlyle's Restaurant in Blacksburg. Surviving are his wife, Helen Burford; sons, Rodney Burford, Chevy Chase, Md., Wesley Burford, Mt. Airy, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Donna Burford, Charlotte, N.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Glenn Craft, Wise, Va., Vicki and Lou Klaff, Phoenix, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann Craft, Lindsey Brook Craft, Scotty Klaff, Stacy Klaff; his mother, Grace Sales Burford; sister and brother in-law, Marian and Hardney Gibson; stepbrother, Edward Burford, all of Roanoke; stepsister, Kitty Bryant, Jacksonville, Fla. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 1993, in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Roanoke. The Rev. Robert E. Crawford will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
