PENDLETON-BOWLES
The marriage of Rita Virginia Bowles, daughter of John and Rita Bowles of
Roanoke, to Jody William Pendleton, son of Randall W. Pendleton and Cindy
Farly of Vinton, took place June 12, 1993 in Melrose Christian Church of
Roanoke. The Rev. George K. Bowers officiated. Jennifer Dalton, friend of the
bride, was maid of honor. Randall Pendleton served his son as best man. The
bride was given in marriage by her father, John W. Bowles. The ushers were
Randy Cobbler, C.W. Overstreet of Vinton, friends of the couple and Nelson
Pendleton of Daleville, cousin of the groom. Jr. bridesmaid was Amanda Simmons
of Virden, Il. Flowergirls were Nicole Ruggeri of Lowell, In. and Ashley
McNair of Holland, Oh. All are cousins of the bride. The reception was held at
the Pine Spur Hunt Club of Vinton. The bride is a graduate of Patrick Henry
High School. The groom is a graduate of Liberty High School. The newlyweds
will live in Vinton after a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C.
