Laura Ann Mullen and Byron L.Williams were married November 6, 1993, in
Belmont Baptist Church. The officiating clergyman was Reverend Wayne Harrison.
The reception was held at Holiday Inn-Tanglewood. The maid of honor was Dawn
Triplett, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Wendy Dowdy, sister-in-law of
the bride, Tina Mullins and Chastity Carter, friends of the bride. The best
man was Tommy Fralin, father of the groom. Ushers were Mark Shay and Michael
Murray, friends of the groom, Gregory Mullen and David Anderson, brothers of
the bride. Ringbearer wasZachary Wray. The candlelighters were Gregory Mullen
and David Anderson. The guestbook was attended by CarrieNorville. The bride
wore a gown of Alencon lace embellished with seed pearls and iridescent
sequins, a modified V-neckline accented with rosettes at the shoulders, long
lace sleeves, a fitted basque bodice with low V-back with covered buttons. The
full skirt fell into a chapel length train designed with rosettes at back
waistline. She carried a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies and pink roses.
The bride is a daughter of Ray W. Mullen and Vicki Chilton Mullen, of Roanoke,
Va. She is a graduate of Northside High School, attended Va. Western Community
College, and is employed by First Virginia Bank. The bridegroom is a son of
Tommy and Dorothy Fralin, of Roanoke, Va. He is a graduate of William Fleming
High School and attended Va. Western Community College. After the wedding trip
to the Poconos, the newlyweds will live in Roanoke. The wedding rehearsal
dinner was held by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Fralin at the Steak & Ale Restaurant.
