OBIT CALDWELL, WILLIAM M., ("HAPPY")

CALDWELL, William M., ("Happy"), 84, of Roanoke, died Friday, November 5, 1993, in Blacksburg. He was retired from the American Bridge Company. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth N. Caldwell; one son, Gary William Caldwell of Roanoke; four daughters, Mrs. Pamela C. Sparks of Thaxton, Mrs. Linda C. Hurt of Christiansburg, Mrs. Deborah Caldwell Bono of Salem and Mrs. Betty C. Armistead of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three stepchildren; three stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 1993, at noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel with Dr. Harry Y. Gamble officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
