2 NEW FACES ON WYTHE BOARD

The Wythe County Board of Supervisors will have two new faces next year but no change in its political makeup.

Republican Charles Dix will replace Democrat Andy Kegley as the Black Lick supervisor. Kegley chose not to seek re-election, and Dix defeated Democrat candidate Harry Joe Yates by a 972-508 margin.

But Democrat challenger Carlton Rose ousted Republican incumbent Alan Dunford, 686-639, from the Lead Mines District, evening the political score.

The only other supervisor seeking re-election was Republican Tom DuPuis, currently board chairman, who had no opposition in the East Wytheville District.
