BRUBAKER, Raymond Harvey, 84, of Vinton, died Saturday, November 6, 1993.
He was a member of Lynn Haven Baptist Church and was preceded in death by
eight months by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen Crawford Brubaker, a former
employee of Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Franklin County, moved
to Covington and then to Vinton. He was retired from the Singer Furniture
Company. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dora Lee and Homer
(Bill) West, Vinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Judy Brubaker,
Callaway, Bill and Sarah Brubaker, Blacksburg. Also surviving are seven
grandchildren, Raymond (Ray) West, Danny West, David West, Tammy Tierney,
Keith Brubaker, Wayne Brubaker and Mary Kay Brubaker; great-grandchildren,
Matt, Cody, Raymond Drew and Carlton West; a sister, Pauline Fisher, Boones
Mill; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday,
November 9, 1993, with the Rev. Jay D. Owens officiating. Burial will be in
Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
