OBIT-BERRY, RONALD LEWIS, ("DOC")
BERRY, Ronald Lewis, ("Doc"), 55, of Natural Bridge Station, was called
home on Saturday, November 6, 1993. He was born in Buena Vista on June 22,
1938, the son of Ruby Goolsby Berry Burch and the late Raymond Lewis Berry. He
retired after 20 years from the U. S. Air Force as a T/Sgt., having served in
Vietnam. He had worked at Washington & Lee University as a security guard. He
was a member and Deacon of Arnold's Valley Southern Baptist Church. He was a
lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and the V.F.W. Post 1499.
Surviving are his mother, of Buena Vista; his wife, Brenda Moody Berry; two
sons and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Lynn Berry, Glasgow and Jonathan Lee and
Cindy Berry, Buena Vista; two grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carol
Ann and David Powell, Glasgow; mother and father-in-law, Sam and Alise Moody,
Natural Bridge Station; two dear sisters-in-law, two nieces and two nephews. A
service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 9, 1993, at
the Arnold's Valley Southern Baptist Church, with the Rev. Donald Stine
officiating. The family will receive friends at their home at anytime.
Memorial donations may be made to the Arnold's Valley Southern Baptist Church
or the Glasgow First Aid, Glasgow, Va. Lomax Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
