VETERANS' DAY PLANS ANNOUNCED

In observance of Veterans' Day, the following town and county government schedules will be in effect Thursday:

\ Blacksburg: Town offices - including the Recreation and Transportation departments - will be closed, but the Recreation Center gymnasium will be open Thursday evening, 8-10, and the Aquatic Center will be open Thursday evening, 6-9.

Blacksburg Transit and refuse collections will operate on normal schedules Thursday.

\ Christiansburg: Town offices will be closed, but the Senior Center and the Recreation Center will be open.

Thursday's trash pickup will be collected along with Friday's starting at 8 a.m.

\ Montgomery County: County offices will be closed Thursday.

\ Radford: City offices will be closed. For more information, call 731-3608.

Trash normally collected Thursday will be picked up with Friday's, starting at 7 a.m. For more information on trash schedules, call 731-3607.

\ Pulaski County: County offices will be closed. There will be no change in Thursday's trash collection schedule.

\ Dublin: Town offices will be closed. Trash collections will be postponed until Friday.
