OBIT-BLAHA, WALTER A.

BLAHA, Walter A., 78, of Elbert, W.VA., died Saturday, November 6, 1993, in Welch, W.Va. He was born July 5, 1915, in Old Forge, PA., the son of Stanley and Anna Hornik Blaha Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife, Emma Majerczyk Blaha; daughter, Mrs. William (Jeanette) Spichek, Roanoke; sisters, Mary Streleski, Monticello, N.Y., Sophia Loyan, Cleveland, Ohio, Anna Teague, Collinsville, N.C.; grandson, Jeff Spichek, Roanoke. A mass of Christian burial will be conducted Wednesday, November 10, 11 a.m., from the Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Gary, W.Va. with Father That Son celebrant. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluewell, W.Va. Friends may call Tuesday at Fanning Funeral Home, Welch, W.Va. from 5 to 8 p.m. Vigil prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Fanning Funeral Home of Welch, W.Va. is in charge.
