RABIES AUTHORITY TO DISCUSS DISEASE

An informal meeting will be conducted Tuesday in Roanoke by Dr. Suzanne Jenkins, a leading state authority on rabies.

The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. at the Melrose Towers auditorium, 3038 Melrose Ave. N.W.

Environmental-health specialists from the Alleghany, West Piedmont and Roanoke health districts will attend, said Jimmie Minnix, Roanoke's environmental-health specialist.

Minnix said the meeting was scheduled because Jenkins will be in the Roanoke and New River Valley area next week.
