The Fighting Blues (9-1 overall, 5-0 in the district) will play host to Rural Retreat of the Hogoheegee district Nov. 19 in the opening round of the Group A Region C playoffs.
Parry McCluer rolled up 305 yards on the ground.
Glenvar (4-6, 3-2) was held to 143 yards rushing. Mike Stanley was the Highlanders' leading rusher with 78 yards on 17 carries.
\ Laurel Park 24\ Bassett 7
BASSETT - DeShannon Adams accounted for all three Lancers touchdowns as the visitors rallied from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the Bengals in the Piedmont District.
Adams rushed 21 times and finished with 101 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Lancers (7-3, 6-3). He also scored on a 6-yard fumble return in the fourth quarter.
Bassett (3-7, 2-7) went ahead in the second quarter on a 50-yard pass from Chris Hairston to Tyree Hairston. The Bengals' quarterback was 6-of-15 with two interceptions, but his total of 83 yards gave him 1,058 for the season.

INDEPENDENCE - Monty Moran hit Jason Pratt from 18 yards out with 1 minute and 19 seconds remaining, and Nicky Nichols kicked the1G extra point as the Buffaloes recoverd from a 17-0 deficit to edge the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire District game.
Grayson County's Shane Griffith saw a 47-yard field goal attempt go wide right with three seconds remaining.
Griffith gave Grayson County (5-5, 4-4) a 20-7 halftime lead when he hit a 54-yard field goal. It is the fifth-longest field goal in state history (tied with Jason O'Dell of Martinsville, 1991) and the second longest in Timesland history. The longest was 58 yards.
The Buffaloes (7-3, 6-2) scored with one second remaining in the third quarter when Phillip Marshall recovered a Blue Devils fumble in the end zone.
Floyd County recoverd another Blue Devils fumble with three minutes remaining in the game, which set up Moran's winning touchdown pass.
Bath County 27\ James River 8
HOT SPRINGS - Sophomore Ivan Franklin paced a crushing ground game with 147 yards rushing as the Chargers ripped the Knights to claim second place in the Pioneer District regular-season race.
Bath County, which advances to next week's Group A playoffs, outrushed James River 291-125 despite having two of its top backs - Billy Thomas and Michael Edwards - on the sideline.
Jamie Carroll had 69 yards rushing for Bath County (8-2, 4-1), including touchdown runs of 3 and 4 yards, had touchdown runs of 3 and 4 yards.
James River's points came on Todd Washington's short run late in the game.
Covington 25\ Craig County 15
NEW CASTLE - Tailback Tom Luckett's 8-yard touchdown run in the third quarter put Covington ahead to stay and the Cougars went on to defeat the Rockets in a Pioneer District game.
Luckett finished with 112 rushing yards on 28 carries.
Quarterback Robbie Huffman passed for 153 yards and rushed for another 53 for Craig County (0-10, 0-5). He connected with Zachary Peters on a 68-yard touchdown play in the first quarter.
Covington ends the season 2-8 and 2-3.
Tunstall 33\ Fieldale-Collinsville 12
COLLINSVILLE - Khris Law threw for a touchdown and scored twice while Hubert Adkins caught two touchdown passes and scored a touchdown on defense in the Cavaliers' Piedmont District victory.
Chris Martin threw the first touchdown pass for Tunstall (7-3 overall, 6-3 in the district) to Atkins for 27 yards. Adkins also scored on a 40-yard pass inteerception and a 21-yard pass from Law.
Fieldale-Collinsville finishes the season at 2-8 and 2-7.
Narrows 37\ Fort Chiswell 6
NARROWS - Whitey Blankenship keeps rolling along.
The senior running back raced for 230 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries as host the Green Wave whipped the Pioneers in a Mountain Empire district rout.
The Green Wave (8-2, 6-2) will host Pioneer district runner-up Bath County in the first round of the Group A Region C playoffs next week.
Narrows quarterback Jeff White threw touchdown passes to Emory Turner and Keith Morris as the Green Wave bolted to a 24-6 halftime lead.
Brad Coleman threw a 31-yard pass to Chad Lewis for Fort Chiswell's points.
Blankenship scored on runs of 6 and 47 yards, and the Green Wave limited the Pioneers (3-7, 3-5) to 63 yards on the ground.
Blankenship ends the regular season with 1,641 yards rushing.
George Wythe 13\ Chilhowie 7
WYTHEVILLE - The Maroons capped a perfect regular season and won the Hogoheegee District title with the hard-fought victory over the Warriors.
Robert Dillow's 20-yard touchdown run with a fumbled option pitch in the fourth quarter clinched the victory for the Maroons (10-0, 7-0), who advance to Region C Division 2 play next weekend.
George Wythe fumbled away three scoring opportunities inside the Chilhowie 10.
Tailback Chris Dickinson led the Wythe offense with 66 rushing yards.
Chilhowie (7-3, 5-2) also qualified for the Region C Division 2 playoffs.
Retreat 35\ Pocahontas 10
RURAL RETREAT - Rusty Crigger had two receptions for touchdowns and returned a punt return for another as Rural Retreat defeated Pocahontas in a non-district game.
Crigger had catches of 75 and 10 yards for touchdowns in the first quarter. Quarterback Chris Bass finished with 133 yards passing. Jason Childers scored the other touchdowns for Rural Retreat (7-3) on runs of 12 and 6 yards.
Aaron Groseclose scored on a two-yard run for Pocahontas (5-5) in the fourth quarter and added a safety when a Rural Retreat player was called for a personal foul in the end zone.
