GIVENS-EATON

Robert Alan Givens and Kristi Dawn Eaton were married October 16, 1993, in First United Methodist Church, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Warren Stewart and the Rev. Keith Owen officiating. The maid of honor was Mary Glenn, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Carrie Pugh, Susan Harmon, Tonya Hart, all friends of the bride; and Amy Perkins, cousin of the groom. John H. Givens, Jr., father of the groom, was best man. The ushers were John H. Givens, III, brother of the groom; Ferrell "Snag" Williams, uncle of the groom; Steven Owen and Peter Perkins, cousins of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Heather Huffman and Lory Stafford. The bride wore a long sleeve, off the shoulder, straight fully beaded gown with detachable train. She carried abouquet of lilies, stephanotis and ivy. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy L. Eaton of Pearisburg. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and isemployed by Celco Credit Union. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Givens, Jr., of Pearisburg. He is agraduate of John Tyler CommunityCollege and is manager of Givens Funeral Home. The newlyweds will live inPearisburg, after their wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
