REDDEN-SMITH
Carolyn Overstreet Smith and Lawrence Glyndon Redden were united in
marriage on September 23, 1993, in Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church
with Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman officiating. The bride's youngest son, Jeremy
David Smith, served as ringbearer. Following the ceremony, a luncheon was held
at La Maison Restaurant. The bride is the daughter of the late Elton Noah
Overstreet and the late Virginia Waid Overstreet, of Vinton. The groom is the
son of Frank Eldridge and Mary Louise Redden, of Roanoke, and is employed by
Appalachian Power Company. The couple enjoyed a wedding trip that included a
stay at Mountain Lake, after which they attended sporting events around the
Commonwealth. Mr. and Mrs. Redden are making their home in Roanoke.
