OBIT COLLIER, HILLARD S.

COLLIER, Hillard S., 78, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, November 11, 1993, in Florida. Mr. Collier was born in Letcher, Kentucky, on March 31, 1915, to the late Thomas Robert and Mary M. Meade Collier. He was retired from R.A.A.P. with 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Irene Hale Collier; one son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Mary S. Collier; two grandchildren, Dillon Hale Collier and Jordan Peter Collier, all of West Chester, Pa.; two sisters, Maywood Moore and Ruth Smith, both of Letcher County, Ky.; one brother, Dan Collier, Zephyrhilis, Fla.; one half-sister, Billie Joyce Quillen, Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 15, at Blacksburg Baptist Church, with Dr. Ray Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, with Masonic graveside rites by Hunter's Masonic Lodge #156 A.F. & A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg Rescue Squad (200 Progress St., N.E., Blacksburg, Va., 24060) or the American Heart Association (Attn: Donna Miller, 1204 S. Main St., Blacksburg, Va., 24060). The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
