OBIT HUFNAGEL, ANDREW DAVID

HUFNAGEL, Andrew David, 80, of Lexington, died November 12, 1993, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born March 13, 1913, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late John and Margaret Himmer Hufnagel. He was retired from the Social Security Administration. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a graduate of Notre Dame University, with a journalism degree. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He was also a member fo the Kiwanis Club, Moose Lodge and the V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Edith C. Hufnagel; two daughters, Ann O'Brien of Williamsport, Pa. and Cathy Connors of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, John Hufnagel of Lexington, Va.; Jim McCarthy and Bill McCarthy of Long Island, N.Y.; ten grandchildren. A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 1993, at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with interment following in Oronoco Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday, at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista.
