Bobbitt is due in Niagara Falls Family Court on Nov. 23 for a paternity suit filed by Beatrice Williams, 21, of Niagara Falls.
Williams said she and Bobbitt had a three-month affair last year and that Bobbitt fathered her son, 10-month-old Andrew. She is suing Bobbitt for child support.
With the approval of court officials, Bobbitt sent a friend to a hearing Monday in Niagara Falls City Court to enter a guilty plea for driving with a loud muffler and to pay a $65 fine.
Court officials let Bobbitt send his friend because of the publicity he has received, said a court clerk who would not give her name.
A Niagara Falls native, Bobbitt had been ticketed last Dec. 23 for the loud muffler. He was arrested Sunday during another visit home and charged with skipping town on the traffic violation.
Bobbitt, 26, of Manassas, Va., received national publicity when his wife cut off his penis after, she contended, he repeatedly sexually assaulted her. Doctors reattached the penis.
Bobbitt was acquitted of the charge against him last week. Lorena Bobbitt, 24, faces a trial on a malicious-wounding charge Nov. 29. The Bobbitts are seeking a divorce.
Bobbitt has been staying with an aunt and uncle in Niagara Falls since his acquittal.
