The Appalkids - the name is an acronym for American People Presenting Appalachian Life through Kids in Dramatic Skits - weave music, folk tales and dialogue into their dramatic performances. Its goal has been to promote a positive image of Appalachian people and culture.
Becky Hancock and Teresa Wheeling are co-directors of the group.
Three original Appalkids were Morgans Chapel members, and the group has performed at the church's annual Thanksgiving season supper for eight years.
All former Appalkids, their friends and families are invited. The covered-dish Thanksgiving dinner at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall will precede the performance.
