HERITAGE GROUP WORKS TO PRESERVE HISTORY

The Radford Heritage Foundation board has designated three committees to work toward preserving and promoting the city's historical aspects:

The Landmarks Committee will set criteria, then review landmarks, buildings and homes to be honored.

The Education Committee will make the city's history available to schools and the public.

The Membership/Development Committee will handle foundation fund raising and membership issues.

The foundation is seeking people to head and serve on these committees.

The board also will expand from eight to 12 members in August.

The Public Relations Committee has been asked to hold a contest early next year to design a logo for the Radford Heritage Foundation.

For more information, or to volunteer to serve on a committee, call Bud Jeffries, 731-3656.
