Ex-Cars rocker Ric Ocasek and supermodel-actress Paulina Porizkova became brand-new parents with the arrival last week of Jonathan Raven Ocasek at a New York hospital. The unlikely couple met in 1984 while shooting the Cars video "Drive" and have been married for four years - the Julia Roberts-Lyle Lovett pairing of the 1980s. Ocasek, 44, has just released a solo album, "Quick Change World." Or is that Diaper-Change World? The Czechoslovak-born Porizkova, 28, is the former face of Estee Lauder and a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue alumna.

Heidi Fleiss' attempt at legitimate business is still appropriate for between the sheets. Her $35 cotton flannel boxer shorts - with an embroidered Heidi logo - feature a three-button fly and a built-in pocket for condoms (not included). His-and-her terry cloth bathrobes are available for $60 each, plus $5 for shipping and, ahem, handling. The alleged Hollywood madame's collection of Heidiwear can be ordered by calling 1-800-434-3475 - what, you were expecting a 900 number? Fleiss, 27, debuted her line of undies this week on Cable News Network's "Showbiz Today."

Martin Ginsburg, husband of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, is getting a "good guys" award from the National Women's Political Caucus for accommodating himself to his wife's career. The tax lawyer has moved to Washington, regularly cooks dinner and makes sure that all Social Security taxes are paid so his wife isn't Zoe Baird-ized.

Cristophe, the Beverly Hills hair stylist who gave President Clinton that famous airport trim that caused some nasty political problems early in his administration, has opened a shop in Washington. Yes, it's still $125 for a cut by the Great One - women, $250 - but one of his workers will give you a clip job for just $55. Why D.C. and not, say, New York? "Why would I pay $50,000-a-month rent on Madison Avenue when I can pay $10,000 on Connecticut?" he asks.

Is Howard Stern a great humanitarian or what? As part of his New Year's Eve pay-per-view TV show, he's doing a telethon to raise money for John Bobbitt to help defray his $70,000 organ-reattachment bills.
