The correct statistics reflecting activity in Thursday's stock markets are: Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 3685.34 points, down 19.01 from Wednesday's close; New York Stock Exchange composite, 256.20, down 0.61; American Stock Exchange composite, 469.54, down 3.00; Nasdaq, 754.34, down 8.02. On the New York Stock Exchange 795 stocks advanced, 1,276 declined, 617 were unchanged and 2,866 issues were traded. The Dow Jones average high for the day was 3710,77 and the low was 3209.53. Standard & Poor's indexes closed at: composite, 463.62, down 1.19; MidCap, 172.31, down 0.82; industrials, 537.56, down 1.26; utilities, 173.68, down 0.53; and financial, 43.16, down 0.17.
