Shelley Renee' Thornton and Michael A. Butler are engaged and planning to be married March 5, 1994 in Christiansburg. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Michael G. Thornton. She graduated from Auburn High School and attendedEmmanuel College for one year and is transferring to South Carolina. She isemployed by the County Seat at NewRiver Mall. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Butler, Sr., of Liberty, S.C. Hegraduated from Easley Christian School and is presently in the U.S. Navy and is stationed in Charleston, South Carolina.
