EARNEST-VEST

Rebecca Lynn Vest and Patrick Wayne Earnest were married Saturday, November 20th, 1993 in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, Virginia, with Rev. Kenneth Kingrea performing the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Loretta Vest of Pilot. She is the granddaughter of Elwood and Sylvia Pratt of Floyd and the late Morris and Ida Vest of Copper Hill.

The groom is the son of Tommy and Marie Earnest of Christiansburg. He is the grandson of Sonny and Mary Merrier of Woodbin, Georgia and the late Fred and Ruth Earnest of Rock, West Virginia.

A program of wedding music was performed by Anna Calbaugh. Soloist was Dale Buckner of Pilot. Kenneth Reed of Check, cousin of the bride, was the guitarist and soloist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown with a fitted alencon lace beaded bodice and basque waistline. The neckline had a high lace wedding band collar with a tulle yolk and scattered pearl clusters. The long sleeves were satin and beaded lace. The chapel train was edged with a satin ruffle and appliqued with lace medallions.

The maid of honor was Rhonda Martin of Christiansburg, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Mary Fowler of Radford, friend of the bride, Shelia Spates of Knoxville, Tenn., friend of the bride, Melinda Lester of Bluefield, West Virginia, friend of the groom, and April Sedelmyer of Winnabo, North Carolina, cousin of the groom. The bridesmaids wore an iridescent taffeta emerald green T-length gown. The bodice was accented with emerald velvet, a sweetheart neckline, and pouffed elbow length sleeves. Kaitlin Thomas, the daughter of Steven and Beth Thomas of Floyd, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. She wore a peach dress and carried a white basket with green and peach ribbons.

Gregg Hall of Radford, friend of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Sean Lester of Bluefield, West Virginia, friend of the groom, Tommy Earnest, Sr. of Christiansburg, father of the groom, Tommy Earnest, Jr. of Christiansburg, brother of the groom, and Bryan Vest of Pilot, brother of the bride. Trey Pratt, the son of Ralph Pratt of Floyd, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Attending the guest register was the bride's cousin, Andrea Pratt of Floyd, wearing a peach dress. Ushers were Jonathan, Travis and Joshua Pratt of Floyd, and Wayne Ingram of Copper Hill, all cousins of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Wytheville Community College and is employed at Dentist Inc., of Radford as a registered dental hygienist.

Patrick is employed at Montgomery Regional Hospital and is studying to be a registered nurse.

After their honeymoon trip to theBahamas, Rebecca and Patrick will reside in Christiansburg.
