RESTAURANT SHOOTING LEAVES 1 WOUNDED

A man was shot in a restaurant parking lot early Saturday, according to police.

Matthew Dennihy, 30, of Shawsville was shot in the right side of his face at 2:30 a.m. at Hardee's on Roanoke Street near Interstate 81, Christiansburg police said.

He was treated at Montgomery Regional Hospital and released.

Christiansburg police said the incident was the result of an altercation that started on U.S. 460 near the 460 bypass.

Charges are pending.
