OBIT LEWIS, CORINNE JENNINGS

LEWIS, Corinne Jennings, 83, of Buena Vista, died Friday, November 19, 1993, in a Buena Vista nursing home. She was born in Rockbridge County June 12, 1910, the daughter of the late Hiram C. and Tempy Wilmer Jennings. She was the former owner of the Lewis Service Station. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Lewis Jr. and her son William ("Billy") W. Lewis III. Surviving are one sister, Madeline J. Edwards of Buena Vista; one daughter-in-law, Janet Lewis of Elizabeth City, N.C.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Henry P. Lewis Jr. of Buena Vista; a special friend, Cecil Chittum of Buena Vista. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at the Lomax Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Marc Sherrod. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery.
