OBIT COOPER, PERCY ROOSEVELT
COOPER, Percy Roosevelt, 91, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, November 20,
1993. He was retired from the N & W Railroad. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Minnie Muse Cooper; a son, Woodrow Willie Cooper. Survivors include four
sons, Thomas L. Cooper, Edward R. Cooper both of Salem, Irvin W. (Shirley)
Cooper, Phillip A. (Regina) Cooper both of Roanoke; a daughter, Virginia C.
Morrison, Roanoke; three brothers, Lloyd Cooper, Roanoke, Vernon and James
Cooper both of Washington, D.C.; stepbrother, Rev. P. Wimbush, Halifax, Va.;
brother-in-law, Elijah Holland, Roanoke; stepsister, Pearl Barbour,
Washington, D.C.; sister-in-laws, Hattie P. Cooper and Pattie Cooper both of
Roanoke, Minnie Cooper, Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held noon Wednesday at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral
Home. Dr. J. Eugene Young will officiate with interment in the Williams
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at
the funeral home.
