OBIT ETZLER, JOHN LEWIS IV

ETZLER, John Lewis IV, 53, of Troutville, died Monday, November 22, 1993. He was a lifetime member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he currently served as Trustee, Treasurer and Deacon. President of John L. Etzler, Incorporated, he was a member of the Farm Bureau and served on boards of Southern States and Botetourt A.S.C.S. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hylton Etzler; daughter, Sheryl Lynne Etzler of Charlotte, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, John ("Jay") L. Etzler V and Carol Etzler of Troutville; mother, Signe Selander Etzler of Troutville; brother and sister-in-law, George M. and Betty Etzler of Troutville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Todd of Deltona, Fla., Martha and Stanley Kamm of Roanoke and Sue Paul of Richmond; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 1993, at 3 p.m. in Rader Troutville Chapel with the Rev. Bob Hutchins and the Rev. Charles Crause officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Union Cemetery. For those wishing to make contributions, memorials can be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Building Fund c/o Rev. Bob Hutchins, 3420 British Woods Drive, Roanoke, VA 24019. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, Troutville.
