OBIT MILLER, JOHN PRESTON

MILLER, John Preston, 81, of Natural Bridge, died Sunday, November 21, 1993, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Miller was born on June 6, 1912, in Natural Bridge, a son of the late John Wesley Miller and Annie Ayers Miller. He was a retired plumber and was a member of the Broad Creek A.R.P. Church, and faithfully attended the Natural Bridge Baptist Church. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Dorothy Vess Miller, Natural Bridge; one daughter, Pamela Miller Mentz, Richmond; two sons, Col. John R. Miller, Vienna, Austria, Cleland W. Miller, Natural Bridge; two brothers, Lawrence Miller, Elkton, Rev. Murphy D. Miller, Moneta; one sister, Virginia Pollard, Huntington Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, November 25, 1993, at the Natural Bridge Baptist Church, with Dr. D.B. Martin and Dr. Murphy D. Miller officiating, with burial to follow at 3:45 p.m. at the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
