OBIT-HODGES, WILLIAM THOMAS SR.

HODGES, William Thomas Sr. , 53, of Troutville, passed away Monday, November 22, 1993 at the Veterans Hospital. He served with the US Air Force during the Viet Nam era and was a member of Grandview Heights Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Allen and Myrtle Hodges. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Overfelt Hodges; one son, William Thomas (Tom) Hodges, Jr. of Troutville, sisters and brother-in-law, Alice Marie and Charlie Greer, Roanoke; Betty Manning, Boones Mill; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sam and Lear Overfelt of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, 1993 from the Lotz Vinton Chapel, the Reverend George Stevenson and the Reverend Carter Sloan will officiate. Interment to follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with V.F.W. Post #1264 performing military rites. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
