Couples' support group will hold first meeting

A support group is being started in the Roanoke Valley for couples who are trying to save their relationships. Coupling Again will hold its first meeting from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Lewis-Gale Foundation building.

The group is being formed by several people who have been involved with Suddenly Single, a support group for people going through separation and divorce.

Volunteers sought for New Year's Eve event

Roanoke Festival in the Park is seeking volunteers to assist with activities at First Night Roanoke.

The third annual alcohol-free downtown New Year's Eve celebration will include 35 hands-on art activities, a miniature golf course, a theatre car, an art car and concession sales.
