OBIT TURPIN, JAMES ROBERT

TURPIN, James Robert, ("Bob"), 64, of Wytheville, died Tuesday, November 23, 1993. He was the son of the late James Robin Turpin and Gladys Browning Turpin of Wytheville. Surviving are one daughter, Kathrine R. (Kitty) Turpin of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Kathrin (Kay) Turpin Smith and Ellen Turpin Munger, both of Roanoke; two brothers, Rev. Charles B. Turpin, Knoxville, Tenn, Calvin O. Turpin, Wytheville; one stepgranddaughter, Jennifer Auld, Hillsville; six nieces and four nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, 1993 at the Wytheville Presbyterian Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike Wingard. Interment will follow in the East End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 12 noon Friday at the Gillman Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Gillman Funeral Chapel.
