OBIT OVERSTREET, GLADYS KINGERY
OVERSTREET, Gladys Kingery, 75, of Rt. 1, Hardy, passed away early Thursday
morning, November 25, 1993, in a local hospital. She was retired from Eaton,
Yale and Towne and was also a member of the House of Prayer Church. She was
preceded in death by her husband, George M. Overstreet and a son, James G.
Overstreet. Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Freddie M. and
Ann D. Overstreet, Camp Spring, Md., Mrs. Ann A. Overstreet, Hardy; one
stepson and daughter-in-law, George W. and Audrey M. Overstreet, Goodview;
three daughters and two sons-in-law, Justine O. and Tommy McKee, Claudine O.
and Donald C. Lipscomb, all of Vinton, Linda O. Chewning, Hardy; very special
friend, Floyd Overstreet; one brother, J. Lester Kingery, Roanoke; one sister,
Virginia K. Spangler, Roanoke; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a
number of nieces and nephews, and 7 stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will
be held at noon Monday, November 29, 1993, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel, with
the Rev. Steve Parker and the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Interment will be
in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
